We are not a solicitors firm. Each claimant that contacts us will have their claim assessed to see if they may be eligible to make a no win no fee personal injury claim and where we decide that you may be eligible we will recommend a personal injury solicitor to you.
How does your personal injury service work?
It is very important that we point out to you that when you contact us and we speak with you in relation to any potential personal injury claims that in making a recommendation of a solicitor to you we will not provide any information of any description including your contact details or any details of your enquiry to a solicitor. We can provide information about the solicitor to you and we can provide the contact details and a means/methods for contacting the solicitor if you request this. We will provide you with details of the legal service offered by the solicitor. For any advice and service required by you from the solicitor this must be requested independently by you and with your instructions to the solicitor directly. We will only assist you to assess whether we think that you may be eligible to make a claim and where we decide that you may be eligible we will recommend a personal injury solicitor to you. You will have complete freedom of choice as whether to instruct the solicitor or any other solicitor/or any other legal representative.
DN Manley Ltd is not an agent or representative of the solicitors and we cannot restrict or limit the freedom of the solicitors in the prosecution of a claim in any way. The solicitors are independent of DN Manley Ltd and DN Manley intend to comply with all applicable laws and codes that may be in place at any time.
Recommendation Fee Disclosure:
We are required to inform you that we have an arrangement whereby we receive from the Solicitor a Recommendation fee of £600 + VAT where applicable as a result of the solicitor accepting instructions (we receive a fee of £200 + VAT where applicable as a result of the solicitor accepting instructions for minors/anyone under the age of 18) from a client that we have recommended them to and being retained by that client. The solicitor will be very happy to act for you should they accept your instructions, but you should understand that you have complete freedom of choice as to who you wish to instruct. We are confident that you will not be disappointed with the service they provide. This arrangement does not have any impact on you or the work the solicitor does for you. The fee is paid from the solicitors to us, not by you. This does not affect the solicitors independence, and they will advise you at all times in your own best interests. We do not seek at any time to influence the advice the solicitor gives. The solicitor will not disclose any information to us without your express consent, other than confirmation that the solicitor has agreed to act for you.
Solicitors Fees Disclosure:
Due to changes in legislation, fees have been greatly reduced, so you may have to pay a success fee from your damages, but it will always be capped at 25% and will be out of your damages so you never have to put your hand in your pocket. Damages awarded for injuries are being increased by the courts by 10% specifically to enable you to pay this. Of course, if you don’t get any damages (i.e. if the claim is unsuccessful) , you don’t pay a penny.
Hotkey Transfer:
If you request the recommendation of a solicitor we can Hot Key you through to a solicitor. Hot Key means to connect the call to the solicitor while you are on the phone. There are strict rules as to what can and cannot be said during this process and we will outline them below;
Prior to a Hot Key transfer we will advice you of the following: “We are able to recommend a solicitor to you if you wish us to do so and we can connect you to the solicitor by telephone”. ” When we connect you to the solicitor they will not have any of your details so you will have to provide them with your name, address etc and they might ask for some of the same information that you have already given to us. Please say to the solicitor “This is Mr/Mrs/Miss xxx and you have been recommended to me by DN Manley Ltd”
Please be aware that we can only Hot Key connect you to a solicitor if you request a recommendation. Once a Hot Key transfer has been placed with the solicitor DN Manley Ltd will not be on the telephone for the duration of the call and it will be up to you to provide the solicitor with all of the details of the enquiry and any details that the solicitor may request during that call.
DN Manley Ltd shall not and will not send any information to the solicitor before the Hot Key call is transferred.
Once a retainer/agreement for the provision of legal services (following a signed agreement or otherwise known as a CFA) has been entered into between the solicitor and a claimant there will be no restrictions on contact between DN Manley Ltd and the solicitor and DN Manley Ltd may provide information relating to the claimants claim to the solicitor and use all reasonable endeavours to assist in progressing the claimants claim.
Solicitors Website Enquiry Form:
If you request the recommendation of a solicitor; as an alternative to a “Hot Key transfer” we can provide you with the details of a solicitor’s website so that you can contact them directly yourself by filling out the solicitor’s web form with all of the details of your enquiry and claim. It is important that we point out that we will not provide any information of any description including your contact details or any details of your enquiry to a solicitor on your behalf by the web form on the solicitor’s website upon our company receiving an enquiry from you, and it will be your responsibility to provide any relevant information in relation to your enquiry or that is requested on the solicitors web form on their website.
Please be aware that we can only provide details of a solicitors web form details to you if you request a recommendation. Upon your request for a solicitor recommendation we can provide you with the details of a solicitors website where you would fill in the short web contact form. Within the web contact form once you have filled it out if you input our company name of DN Manley Ltd in to the box at the bottom of the form that says “Recommended By” then the solicitor will know where your enquiry has come from and they will be able to deal with your enquiry accordingly.
